Prof. Barluenga was born on July 27, 1940 in Tardienta (Huesca, Spain)

B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Zaragoza

PhD under the supervisión of Prof. Dr. V. Gómez Aranda, University of Zaragoza.
PhD  thesis: "Reacciones de mercuriación del 1,3-butadieno"

Postdoctoral appointment at the Max-Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr under the supervision of Professor Heinz Hoberg.

Research position at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research in Zaragoza (1970-1972)

Associate Professor. University of Zaragoza
